Atlanta's Premier Adaptive Sports Team
Atlanta Chaos Beepball
We are the top beepball team in the southeast.
What is Beepball?
Beepball is baseball thats been adapted for the blind and visually impaired. It is one of the highest levels of competition found across adaptive sports. This sport is an opportunity for blind athletes to compete at the same level as someone who is sighted.
How Beepball Works
In Beepball there are 6 Players in the field that are on defense. The pitcher, batter and catcher are on the same team. The pitcher is trying to enduce a hit. If The batter hits the ball they must then run to either 1st or 3rd base(whichever is turned on). The fielders are trying to get to the ball and secure it. If the batter reaches the base before a defender secures the ball, that is a run scored. If the defender secures the ball prior to the batter touching the base then that is an out. Donations & Volunteer Are Vital To Our Program!
We are a registered 501-C Non- Profit. We gladly accept donations.
Beepball is a very expensive sport as it requires specialized equipment and a lot of travel. Each player spends around $1500 per season on travel and equipment costs. Please consider donating to help our team grow and succeed. We are also always in need of extra volunteers. We greatly appreciate our volunteers and our sport wouldn’t exist without them.
What Beepball Means To Us
Beepball help in all areas of life for both sighted and visually impaired participants.
Builds Confidence and Character.
Participating in sports can vastly improve the confidence of those who compete. When you make progress and achieve goals on the field, that can lead to progress off the field as well.
Provides A Competitive Outlet
Beepball is an opportunity for athletes who are visually impaired to put their abilities to the test. This is a sport in which someone who is blind can run at full speed and dive out on the ground to stop a ball. They know they can do it safely and at the same level as anyone who is sighted.
Creates Friendships and Brings People From All walks Of Life Together.
Beepball has been around since the 70's and has created many long lasting friendships. Current players today can look back and hear about their friends and family that played before them. Beepball is great way for blind athletes to engage in competition as well as social events.
